I don't understand this mod. This just seems a complicated way to do "/set time_speed 0".
That would take effect for all worlds though, you know that right? ;)
OK, this is a good point. Minetest really needs to treat time_speed as a per-world setting rather than a global one. :-(

additionally to being per world, perma time is per player, and affects just that players light level and allows things to happen normally, like mods that look at the current time to add global effects, etc
